The purpose of this Code of Practice is to inform our customers of their relationship with Selection Services and provide useful information to enable customers to deal with problems if they arise.
Investors in People provides a flexible framework, which any organisation can adapt for its own requirements. It mirrors the business planning cycle (plan, do, review) making it clear for organisations to follow and implement in their own planning cycle.
Selection Services PLC is fully committed to compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 which came into force on the 1st March 2000. The company will therefore follow procedures that aim to ensure that all employees, elected members, contractors, agents, consultants, partners or other servants of the company who have access to any personal data held by or on behalf of the company, are fully aware of and abide by their duties and responsibilities under the Act.
Selection Services Certifications
Selection Services commitment to providing quality service resulted in full ISO 9001 accreditation across the entire company back in 1994 and our continued focus in this area resulted in our upgrade to the new ISO 9001/2000 accreditation in 2003. They are also committed to Investors in People and as such have documented all service procedures in manual form which are available for inspection if so required.
Customers are getting more sophisticated, better informed and their expectations are growing. For any business, the only way to keep up is to offer a real commitment to quality. In fact any organization, whatever their size or industry sector can give themselves a real future in a marketplace by using a well planned and documented quality management system (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
In addition to ISO 9001:2000 Selection Services are also currently working towards 2 new British Standards, BS15000 IT Service Management Standard, the “Worlds 1st Standard for IT Service Management” and BS7799-2/ISO27001 Security Standard.
BS15000 / BS 15000, now fast tracked as ISO 20000, was the world's first standard for IT service management. The standard specifies a set of inter-related management processes, and is based heavily upon the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) framework.
The ISO 27001 Standard published in October 2005 as a replace of BS 7799-2 standard. Information security standard is not part of ISO family. ISO 27001/BS 7799-2 is specification for Information Security Management System.
