This code aims to provide:

  • Information on how to contact Selection Services Plc
  • Where to find information about our services
  • What to do when things go wrong

2. About Selection Services
Selection Services Plc is an independent company specialising in providing a wide range of computer services since 1988. Operating from our major Service Centre situated in Bromley, Kent, Selection Services has quickly established itself as a major force in the IT industry and as a market leader in computer maintenance, enterprise systems management and professional services.

Selection Services commitment to providing quality service has resulted in full ISO 9001 (2000) certification. All service procedures are produced in manual form and are available for inspection.

3. What is the Selection Services Consumer Code of Practice?
The purpose of this Code of Practice is to inform our customers of their relationship with Selection Services and provide useful information to enable customers to deal with problems if they arise.

4. Range of Services
Selection Services offers a range of IT services to businesses customers. Our customers benefit from Selection Services experience, infrastructure and vision, which have resulted in an unrivalled product portfolio. Selection Services specialise in all aspects of Personal Computers, LAN / WAN environments and peripheral servicing, incorporating remote monitoring of critical Servers and Networks coupled with rapid response to site and the provision of on-site engineering services. These three elements combined provide a 'total' support solution enabling Selection Services' clients to operate their IT departments more efficiently, indirectly increasing the profitability of their business.

5. Customer Services
We have individual contracts for our services. If you are unsure of any of the conditions under which your service is provided please call us and we will confirm this information for you. Customers should read their individual contracts to find the information on the following:

  • Cancellation and service termination
  • Pricing
  • Billing information, including billing frequency and payment options
  • Service Level Agreements and repair time targets (where appropriate)

6. Data Protection
Selection Services comply with all relevant data protection legislation.

7. Complaint Handling Process
To support Selection Services’ commitment to putting our customers first, we welcome all contact with our customers. It is Selection Services’ aim that all customers with a problem should feel comfortable in voicing their concerns. Our key objective is to resolve complaints quickly and to make sure that the information gained will be used to ensure that preventative action is taken.

Any complaints should be reported to the relevant Selection Services department, each of which have response time and quality measurements targets to ensure Customer satisfaction. Alternatively complaints can be sent in writing to complaints@selection.co.uk or by post to the above address.

8. Communicating with Customers
Customers requiring the Code of Practice in a different format should contact Selection Services using the General Enquiries number above.

9. Approval and Review of the Code of Practice
Selection Services are committed to keeping the information in this Code of Practice accurate and up to date. Selection Services will amend and reissue the Code of Practice following any changes to the information it contains.
 
10. Further Information
 Nothing in this Code of Practice detracts from your statutory or common law rights, nor does anything it contains form part of any contract between Selection Services and a customer. The services described in this Code are subject to availability and may be modified from time to time. This Code of Practice is published by Selection Services Ltd.
