Selection purchases Cloud Data

Selection Services are delighted to announce the successful completion of an MBO, backed by Palatine Private Equity LLP and the simultaneous acquisition of hosting services provider, Cloud Data. The acquisition immediately enriches the Selection Cloud offering whilst the MBO enables the acceleration of the Company's plans to further grow and enhance the service capabilities offered to the clients.

The acquisition is expected to reinforce Selection's position as one of the UK's leading managed service providers to the SME market. Managing Director, Grahame Harrington, said: "This is really exciting news for everyone involved in the Company. Cloud Data has an established and proven shared services model. It enriches our existing Selection Cloud offering, enabling us to significantly increase our 'cloud' capabilities whilst ensuring our clients benefit from more advantageous price points".

The deal has been supported by Palatine Private Equity and Tony Dickin, one of the investment Company's founding partners, said: "We are delighted to have backed the management buyout of Selection. We believe the combination of Selection and Cloud Data creates a strong platform from which to build a significant IT services business to take advantage of the trends in the sector. Cloud Data's Managing Director, Anthony Galley, founded Cloud Data in 2008 and will join the Selection Board of Directors.
