The Selection Golf Day

On Wednesday 14th September, the annual Selection Golf Day was held at the Warwickshire Golf & Country Club for the third year in succession. More than 95 clients joined us for the day, some of whom hadn’t golfed before so took advantage of the free lessons in the morning’s golf clinic before heading out on the course after lunch. For those who have some experience of the game there was the hope of winning the hole-in-one prize of £20,000, but this year no-one was lucky enough to be taking it home.

At the end of the day’s golfing our Managing Director, Grahame Harrington gave a short speech highlighting that the main point of the day was to say thank you to our clients for their continued support. Then it was over to Joe Rowbotham, our Strategic Alliances Director, to hand out the prizes for the best performances on the day. The overall winner in the 18 Hole Stableford Competition was Michael Cooper from BDRC Continental, who went home with a 40” Sony Bravia flat screen TV. In second place was Andy Steel from J O Hambro and third, Bruce Gardner from David Lloyd, who also scooped the Longest Drive prize. Our very own Colin Robinson, Client Relationship Director, was the only Selection winner with his Nearest the Pin prize. Other category prizes were awarded for: 9 Hole Texas Scramble, Par 3 Winners, Most Entertaining and Most Improved.

It was a very successful and enjoyable day and we are already looking forward to planning next year’s.
