RSPCA Awards three year IT maintenance contract to Selection Services to enable increased focus on animal welfare activities
Selection Services has been awarded a three-year contract to support the RSPCA’s telephony and data infrastructure across its national establishments throughout England and Wales. By outsourcing its IT maintenance to Selection Services, the RSPCA expects to benefit from a reduction in IT overheads, minimised downtime and improved staff productivity which will allow the charity to invest more time and resources in promoting kindness and preventing cruelty to animals.
The RSPCA’s IT network, which includes over 1,000 PCs and supports over 1,400 employees, provides a crucial foundation to enable the RSPCA to perform its animal welfare activities efficiently and productively. Under its new IT support contract, which follows a successful 12 month initial agreement for other maintenance services, Selection Services will help the RSPCA to reduce IT spend through effective maintenance of systems and by maximising uptime for its Cisco data and telephony infrastructure.
As a registered charity, the RSPCA’s telephony and data infrastructure is vital in enabling animal welfare services to be delivered quickly and efficiently, as well as managing and generating donations to fund these services.
'We have been very impressed since changing suppliers to Selection Services. We now receive a vastly improved service with tighter service levels, at a more cost effective rate,” stated Aaron Pacifico, Planning Manager of the RSPCA’s Information Systems Department.
Selection Services provides RSPCA employees across the country with a comprehensive range of IT maintenance services including: fault evaluation, diagnostics, software upgrade support, and system builds, assisting in ensuring the availability of vital services. Once a problem is reported it is responded to by a member of Selection Services nationwide support team who are onsite within two hours and the faulty device is fixed or replaced within an additional two hours.
“The highly competitive support contract we have agreed with the charity will ensure RSPCA employees can focus on their work with minimum disruption. This will allow the charity to protect donations whilst realising the significant cost and operational benefits gained by outsourcing to a specialist support provider,” commented Alan Cantwell, CEO of Selection Services.
